The podcast is not dead (yet)

In recent months I have prioritised lots of other stuff over the podcast.

(I don't really schedule my time, I manage priorities, ahaha.)

But today, I was sitting on a tram, listening to music, writing an email about something that happened before I got on the tram, and thinking about one of my friends I've been miscommunicating lately with.

I paused the email, because my left wrist is in a splint again, and I got a bit too frustrated about my typos. As a little distraction, I opened instagram, and saw that a fellow poet has posted something. We've been meaning to do an episode of the podcast together, but hadn't gotten around to that.

Oh wow! I felt an idea suddenly hitting my still asleep mind. I know what could we talk about! I immediately opened the chat section of the aforementioned app. Then I realised I've reached my stop and I need to pause all of this, get off the tram, take the stairs and jump on a metro for a couple of stops.

And then I had to run up, down, back up, more up, a bit back down, then up again, then down again a set of stairs where 3 men with drills and ladders were doing things to the wiring.

But I did get back to the chats and composed a semi coherent message about my idea. Who would have known, I got a fully supportive message back that approved of my idea, and yes!, and also this and that part of my idea. I'm glad.

I celebrated this by having a salad for breakfast / lunch, whilst unwillingly overhearing a conversation at the next table about how ageing is harder for women and until what age should they dye their hair to cover up the greys. Feels pedantic to mention that one of the participants of the conversation (in full support of the Absolute Hiding of grey hair) was a young-ish woman.

Either way.

The podcast is not dead yet, long live the podcast! And I'll let you know when we have something recorded :)

Thank you, and be brave -  not only there's nothing wrong with grey hair, but also poets are cool. There I said it! :)

Episode4: Poetry, Poetry, Poetry, Poetry

From the start of this whole podcast venture, I always intended to do an episode with mostly, if not all just poetry. Instead of me waffling on about some subject or another for a change. So this is it! I do attempt to change my voice, do each of them differently. It was a lot of fun to record! And a bit strange to edit the recording after. But there you go!

You can listen to it on Spotify (or check the very neat player on the side), or directly here:

The conversation amongst poets

Here comes the second episode of my podcast! Some might have heard it on Spotify first, but now it is also available just like this. All you need to do is press that little white arrow just below and you will be taken to a story of how all this came to be. With those grand inspirations and seemingly little nudges along the way.

Ep 3 is finally out!

Me and the wonderful Vivien Kis had a conversation! :) Real and recorded conversation about music, poetry, criticising poems taught in schools and arriving at the idea of dancing to poetry :)

Project chaos

As I am setting up and preparing the celebrations for the Book Birthday month, I accidentally got distracted by trying to come up with a title for the Book3. In the middle of that, I also finished editing episode 3 for my podcast. I've sent it over to the guest star, and as soon as she confirms, I will put it out there for all to hear! :)

But now I need to get ready and go to the local forest to take some photos.

Have you heard

There's this podcast where I read poetry, tell stories and laugh a lot. Would you like to hear the trailer for it? :) The short trailer can be heard here as well now!

The series is currently exclusively on Spotify. See the tile in the side panel for a direct link to poetry, stories and me laughing a lot.

Episode 2: Inspirations stumbled Upon

It has taken me a while, but the second episode is out now! It’s a bit ‘origin story’ themed with the inspirations and random events that have lead me to here and now. Thanks to all the people who have been a part of this journey. Mentioned and otherwise. My voice can’t hold up to mention absolutely everyone, I apologise for that. I’m excited to see where this is going and absolutely thrilled about the opportunities of modern life.

Feel free to go to Best Regrets Make Good Poems podcast on Spotify and give it a listen! If you have any feedback - don’t be shy, do reach out to me.

There comes a day

This day is here! The day when I admit that the podcast trailer and the pilot episode is out there on Spotify. :)

Search for Best Regrets Make Good Poems on Spotify or click on the listening widget on this website. Give it a listen and feel free to comment or contact me via the form if you have any feedback.

Remember to have fun during this cold winter!

The long anticipated podcast cover reveal

How do you like them covers! :)

The content progress also is continuing. I have made recordings, I have edited some of the recordings. Descriptions have been written and awaiting their edits and then approvals from my editors.

This project is going way slower than I initially thought it would. But I am learning a lot of new things along the way which is exciting, yet time consuming.

Either way - woo! :)) A huge thanks to my designer!

Hi, I'm Kae

and I am a pragmatic poet. I write stories in lines for my fellow angry at heart to feel less alone. I put my inner thoughts into words for the emotion seekers, and the feminist points for my queer equals to sense it themselves. I structure in verses the rational sides of the chaos of life for those who experience the same. Words for my own self, for you, for anyone who needs a glimpse of a mind and soul to relate to. Be brave.
